The RF Gold Rapid Screen Test (RST) is a chromatographic immunoassay (CIA) for direct qualitative detection of total rheumatoid factors in human serum or plasma.

RF RST is a chromatographic immunoassay (CIA) for the detection of rheumatoid factors in human serum or plasma. RF antigens is pre-immobilized onto membrane as a capture reagent on the test region. During the test, specimen is allowed to react with the colloidal gold par-been labeled with RF antigen. If any RF present, a pink colored band will develop on the membrane in T line proportion to the amount of total RF presented in the specimen. Absence of pink colored band in the test region suggests a negative result for the indicated RE To serve as a procedural control, a purple colored band in the control region will always appear regardless the presence of any RF.
